Hearts Unleashed, in partnership with Fairfield County Animal Control and Adoption Center, is excited to introduce our “Doggie Daycation program”!

This initiative allows community members to take approved shelter dogs out for a day of fun, love, and enrichment. By giving dogs, a break from the shelter, we gain valuable insight into their personalities and increase their chances of adoption.

How It Works:

1. Fill out the permission slip & application form.

2. Obtain approval to participate in the program.

3. Schedule your “Daycation”

4. Pick up one of our pre-approved Doggie Daycation buddies.

5. Enjoy a safe, fun outing (walk, park visit, car ride, or quiet time at home).

6. Return the dog by the agreed-upon time

7. Complete a short feedback form.
