Every day, countless animals arrive at the Fairfield County Animal Control & Adoption Center with nothing but hope in their eyes. Hearts Unleashed was created to answer that hope — to provide lifesaving care, foster families, rescue partnerships, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Our mission is simple but powerful: to unleash love, change minds and save lives.
Our Story
Founded by passionate volunteers and animal advocates, Hearts Unleashed was created to meet the growing needs of the shelter and its animals. What began as a small group of supporters has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing lasting change. By standing beside the shelter staff, rescue partners, and our community of supporters, we ensure every animal has a chance at a brighter future.
